We’re so excited to gather our favourite people in one place. We created this space to keep all the important details together — where to stay, how to get here, what to expect, and everything else you might need as we get closer to the big day.
OUR LOVE STORY
It began with us thinking we'd "only" be long-distance besties.
Like any great modern-day love story, ours began on Bumble. I know, you were expecting to hear Tinder - the popular kid among the dating apps. But not us. Our love story is all thanks to Bumble (and the fact that we were both banned on Tinder - don't ask).
The connection was immediate - Paul could barely handle how funny Hillary was (and still is), the banter was endless, and it felt like we had known each other for years. Somehow, two people who barely ever used the app happened to be on it at the exact same time this Ontario kid was checking out the Okanagan. Unfortunately, that was where things stopped lining up. We could not seem to coordinate our schedules to meet in person, so we decided to casually keep the conversation going and proceed as long-distance best friends instead.
Let me tell you, best friends we became.
Distance only strengthened the relationship we were building and a few months later, Paul flew back out west to see if this thing could hold up in person (spoiler - it totally did).
Next thing you know, Paul’s “I couldn’t possibly quit my job and uproot my entire life to move across the country until at least a year into this” turned into quitting his job and completely uprooting his life within six months. When you know, you know, am I right?
Since then, we have built a life that is equal parts laughter, chaos, tenderness, and very questionable decision-making. Somewhere along the way, best friends became partners, and now we get to celebrate the life we chose together with the people who have been part of it.
